Review:

Very mature content with intense sexual situations and violence. The third installment in the Thrust series features Dane. As is the case with the previous books, he is ex-marine, hot and deadly, and a high-priced male escort. There’s nothing subtle about Dane, and his filthy mouth alone might turn you on. As a $5,000 per client escort, he has one unbending rule – no repeats. One time only means no strings, just the way he wants it. He wants his privacy and solitude, just him and his dog, Hunter. When he’s asked to do a favor and take in a client for 24 hours, Dane reluctantly agrees. Then he sees the stunning, twenty-something year old, blue-eyed blonde in his kitchen. and something changes.
Irina is submissive, abused, and now on the run and hiding out from her arms dealing, Russian Mafia husband, Viktor.
As I read the pages of their meeting, other than the obvious, Dane’s attraction to Irina didn’t make sense to me, and I was disappointed. I like Dane’s character, despite his harshness, but didn’t like his match up with Irina. As a result, I didn’t enjoy this story as much as the others because of Irina’s character. However, that won’t stop me from reading any other books to come because I like the interaction and individual stories of the lead male characters in this series as well as in the Uncompromising cross-over series.

Description:

Dane

I’m silent. I’m trained. I’m lethal.

My hand skimming down your thigh, my gaze a weapon—I know more ways to kill you than please you.

But you’re not paying for my aim. You’re paying for my control. Bringing you a breath away from ecstasy, watching you beg as I hold back your release, I’ll show you exactly what you’ve been missing. Your hunger is my currency and five thousand is my price. I only have one rule—no repeats, because I’m not for keeps. I’m for sale.

One slow grind and I’ll give you exactly what you paid for.

About The Author:

Sybil Bartel grew up in Northern California with her head in a book and her feet in the sand. She dreamt of becoming a painter but the heady scent of libraries with their shelves full of books drew her into the world of storytelling. She loves the New Adult genre, but any story about a love so desperately wrong and impossibly beautiful makes her swoon.
Sybil now resides in Southern Florida and while she doesn’t get to read as much as she likes, she still buries her toes in the sand. If she isn’t writing or fighting to contain the banana plantation in her backyard, you can find her spending time with her handsomely tattooed husband, her brilliantly practical son and a mischievous miniature boxer…

But Seriously?

Here are ten things you probably really want to know about Sybil.

She grew up a faculty brat. She can swear like a sailor. She loves men in uniform. She hates being told what to do. She can do your taxes (but don’t ask). The Bird Market in Hong Kong freaks her out. Her favorite word is desperate…or dirty, or both—she can’t decide. She has a thing for muscle cars. But never reply on her for driving directions, ever. And she has a new book boyfriend every week—don’t tell her husband.

Review:

If you’re ready for a rough, dirty talking, controlling, sexy male escort who’s also an ex-marine, then you’re ready for Jared. He’s a crude talker in and out of the bedroom and he won’t apologize for it to anyone. When his friend and fellow male escort, Alex, asks him to take over his clients for a night, Jared agrees to help him out. With one client, what he gets is a shy, unexpected woman, Sienna, who ends up turning his world upside down. Sienna hasn’t had it so easy, and both of their pasts and stories are worth reading about. The hotness is dialed up to infinity with these two, so definitely for mature readers only. If you’ve read any of the Uncompromising series books, you will be reacquainted with some of those characters since they are friends and all ex-military. Even though this is part of the Thrust series, I actually consider it part of the Uncompromising series. Both series are worth reading if you’re looking for that story with no holds barred sexual situations, a strong story line, and a happily ever after.

Jared

I’m not your boyfriend. I’m not the guy next door. I don’t even play nice.

My hands twisting in your hair, my whispered demand in your ear—I’m the fantasy you’ll wish you never had.

When I’m through with you, every inch of your body will know where I’ve been. You won’t crave more, you’ll beg for it. Because I’m not just the cocky smile with military hardened muscles you paid five grand for—I’m the experience you’ll never forget.

One night with me and you’ll know exactly why women pay me to be rough.

I know the game. I know the angle. I know how to make you beg.

My hands on your body, my mouth hovering over yours—I’ll tell you everything you want to hear. Ten inches of real estate never felt so good.

But don’t take my word for it. My client list is long and my motto is short—one single thrust and you’re mine. I’m not good at what I do, I’m fantastic. But satisfaction doesn’t come cheap. So open your wallet and prepare to forget your name. I’m about to ruin you for any other man.

One single thrust and you’re mine.

Excerpt:

“How do you wanna settle up?” I tied off the condom and slipped it into my pocket as I pulled my pants up. Rule number one—never leave behind any evidence.

Naked except for her heels, she got off the bed and sauntered to her purse. “How much?”

“Four grand.” I smiled like I was checking her out.

“Four?”

I took two strides and tipped her chin. “Two rounds and oral. You want a third? I just got hard watching that ass of yours.” I could fit in another quickie before my next appointment.

She smiled coyly. “Maybe next time.”

I held back my laugh, just barely. I was hung as hell. If she wasn’t sore from all that pounding, my name wasn’t Alex Vega. “You know where to find me.” I dropped her chin. “Cash or credit?”

She handed me her card and I swiped it through the small credit card reader attached to my cell phone. “Need me to text you a receipt?”

She smiled. “Receipt?”

“Deep tissue massage.” I was legit as fuck. I’d even gotten the damn massage therapist license. “Medical expense. You can deduct it on your taxes.” I winked. “You’re welcome.”

She shook her head but she looked amused. The card went through and I got dressed ASAP. Rule number two—never stick around—unless they pay you.

“So….” She twirled her hair like she was twelve. “What are you doing Saturday night? I’m looking for a date to this fundraiser that’s for—”

I was already shaking my head. “Sorry, babe. I don’t do show and tell. Strictly bedroom scenes. But text me after if you’re bored.” I shot her my money smile and buckled my Ferragamo belt then threw on the jacket of my custom-tailored suit. Stepping into my loafers sans socks, I was out. “Later, gorgeous.” Three steps backward, a wink for good measure and I turned.

On the elevator ride to the lobby, I checked my messages, scheduled three more clients and pulled up my E-Trade account balance. Nothing got me hard like seven digits in a row.

Review:
Neil is as alpha as they come — ex-Danish Military Special Ops, strong, controlling, fearless, beyond sexy, and a bit of a mystery. He becomes the fierce protector of Ariel — single mother, receptionist for his friend’s security firm by day, and a stripper by night — and thanks to her ex, things get pretty crazy and dangerous. Neil and Ariel have a very intense relationship, and some may not like Neil’s dominating control of her. But, despite secrets, disappointments, kidnappings, and violence, they both find their feelings cannot be denied. I enjoyed Neil’s mysterious, strong character, and the sexual tension was off the charts. I recommend this story only for mature readers.

Ex-Danish Military Special Forces, built like a legend, and uncompromising in every way—Neil Christensen didn’t walk into my life. The Viking-sized warrior crashed it like a hurricane.

The moment he showed up at my strip club, my life fell to shit. South Florida’s most ruthless motorcycle gang, the cops, the Feds—they all want something I don’t have, something the Viking took from me.

I thought I could run, but the motorcycle gang caught me. Now the only thing standing between me and an unmarked grave is a warrior I don’t trust.

I’m not afraid to die, but I am terrified of weathering the storm. Because when a Viking decides to unleash his fury, no one is going to come out unscathed.

Warning: This book contains alpha heroes, offensive language, violence and sexual situations. Mature audiences only. 18+

Review:
This was a whirlwind of a ride book…there was so much contained within the pages: Romance, Murder, a Motorcycle Club, a vendetta, the Marines, Surfing, the Mafia, and so much more.
This was actually a spin off series from the author’s Unchecked Series, so there was a lot of backstory that went into much of this book and it was done slowly throughout the entire story. Since this is the first book by this author I have read, it was frustrating at times that I wasn’t aware of the backstory, but I believe the way the author laid out what previously went into what brought Talon to where he is, was much better than attempting to cram it all into the first couple of chapters.
Talon never considered himself a hero, but he never turned his back on someone in need. Which is what brought Nicole (who he nicknamed Siren) to his doorstep, beaten, stabbed and bloody. He set out to right her wrongs which set into motion the healing of his heart that broke two years ago. Their story is certainly not the typical love story, but it will still steal your heart and leave you truly believing in heroes.

Two years ago my life was perfect, until it wasn’t. I scattered my wife’s ashes then walked away from the Marines. I didn’t think I had anything else to lose.

I was wrong.

The blond showed up at my surf shop, beaten and stabbed. I did what I was trained to do—I stitched her up. I didn’t have a clue who she was and I told myself I didn’t care. Until they came looking for her.

I swore I’d take my last breath before I let anyone else hurt her except I didn’t know she was keeping a deadly secret. Now I had two choices, her life or mine.

Marriage and combat taught me the same thing—I was no one’s hero. And I was about to prove it.
