Review:

This was the first book of Chuck Freadhoff that I have read. Now the storyline for me was over developed, there were parts of this book that I really struggled to get through. Once the book got to the main topic I found it a little easier to follow. I think the author was going for a funny read but for me it just did not fly.

Description:

It was an offer he couldn’t refuse.

Joey, the bartender and very bad conman, agrees immediately when mob boss Vincent the Hammer, makes him an offer: turn Delilah, Vincent’s daughter, into a rock star, and do it fast, or spend eternity in a rolled up rug.

The task is simple – pluck a band out of thin air, pack a bar that no one ever comes into, and find a way to make Delilah, who Joey fears can’t even sing, into an overnight global success. Relying on his slick tongue, half-baked wits, a little blackmail, and a cast of characters who owe him favors, Joey follows an improbable and uproariously funny journey from near death to happiness.

Joey’s future is decided in an instant when Delilah’s gig is crashed by outlaw bikers, a posse of pissed off dwarves who want Joey dead, and a crowd of senior citizens, led by Joey’s grandmother, Ethel.

But when it’s all over, Joey’s learned the value of honesty and true love.

He started his career as a journalist and covered homicides, assassination attempts, historic events such as the return of the American hostages from Iran. Once he spent ten hours in an operating room witnessing brain surgery. Along the way, he picked up a sharp eye for detail and keen understanding of how to tell a story – write tight, stay out of your own way and don’t bury the lead. One thing he loves most about writing is the research – visiting the L.A. County Jail was almost as interesting as cruising Tijuana’s red light district at night. You can’t fake it.

Review:

***Please read Unexpected Changes (The Chances Series Book 1) this is not a stand-alone book.***

The story picks up where the cliffhanger ended. Readers will have all the right emotions from laughing, crying, screaming, to loving the book.

I found book 2 at step in all its twists and turns aka it got better and better writing wise. Secondary characters are sharper and the story unfolds with great love for each personalities.

By the end of the book the readers will be so sucked in thinking this ride was needed for all events which took place.

Review:

Our heroine is a spitfire redhead, who doesn’t take crap from anyone. I love her attitude. She is a smart lady who is not into trusting many people.

Readers if you are looking for a book which has a fast-paced roller coaster ride filled with humor, and drama this is it. There are mysteries and secrets, which will leave the readers feeling twisted.

I found this book very intriguing with some crazy good drama. There is a cliffhanger ending, which effect every last character in this book. I am looking forward to book 2.

Description:

Words to live by:

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Don’t break the rules.

I’d managed to fail at both by fraternizing with the enemy’s brother. Guess I’d followed in my mother’s footsteps by ignoring all the rules when it came to love.

Mom was marrying a man only six years older than me. A man who was also her student. But the biggest surprise that came out of their wedding wasn’t my new stepdad’s academic status or his age.

It was Jack Davis—my stepfather’s best friend.

Jack was the guy who could change the whole game. He was quite possibly my soul mate. But time and circumstance were against us—there was no easy way around it. I was moving back to New York in two weeks and his sister, Aubrey, was the one person my family hated most in this world. How would his sister—the enemy—deal with another Edwards girl claiming what she believed was hers? The idea of letting Jack go crippled me. Would I have to cut ties with the only man I’d ever let into my heart?

Description:

Once upon a time, my life was good. I had a family, I had a girlfriend, and hopes for the future. That was long ago, but I remember it. A hazy dream of what could have been.
That’s gone now. I lost it all. Life fucked me over, and now I’m scared of my own damn shadow.
I’m training to be a tattoo artist, but I bet I’m not good enough. I have a roof over my head, but every morning I’m scared shitless that I’ll find myself on the street again – or worse, back in prison.
And every time a pretty girl looks at me, every single fucking time, I know I can’t be with her. Not only because she’ll find out I’m an ex-con and run the other way, no. It’s more than that. I just can’t. The thought of anyone touching me, the thought of getting aroused from that touch brings back every damn nightmare from my past to swallow me whole.
Can’t fucking do it.
Not even if it’s the prettiest girl on earth – Cassie. With her long blond hair and her pretty tits, her short skirts and high heels, she’s all my fantasies rolled into one. See, the fact she kissed one of my buddies? That’s good. The fact she looks at me like I’m a bug under her shoe? Even better.
Because it means she’s not interested in getting hot and sweaty with me, and that I can keep living that fantasy.
The fantasy that she wants to be with me as much as I want to be with her – even though I know it will never happen.

Standalone novel. No cliffhanger.
*Warning: this book contains graphic language, sex, and violence. Mature readers only. Not intended for young readers.*

SHANE is book 4 in the series Damage Control – a series set in the same world as Inked Brotherhood. The boys of Damage Control were taken in by Zane Madden and Rafe Vestri and offered apprenticeship and work in the tattoo shop Damage Control.
Next in the Damage Control series: OCEAN (Damage Control 5)

Excerpt:

Shane is holding me, his large, callused hands on my cheeks, and then his mouth descends on mine, and he’s kissing me. His mouth is hard and hot, tasting of whisky and fire, and I’m lost against him.

He just holds me close, moving his mouth over mine. He groans when I lick his lips, letting me in. His tongue tangles with mine, and the fire spills from my mouth to my belly, setting me alight. He kisses like someone who hasn’t done it much—a little hard, a little awkward.

Perfect.

Because it’s him, it’s Shane, and the cool silk of his long hair brushes against my face as he kisses me, his tall, strong body close enough to touch if he’ll just take one small step forward. If he’ll let me close the gap and press myself to him.

He doesn’t. Even as I loop my arms around his neck, tugging, his hands on my face are like steel vises, keeping me in place, just near enough for our mouths to meet and the most scorching kiss I’ve ever been given.

Shane wants me. He wants me. The words spin in my mind in colorful, dizzying circles. I mean, he’s kissing me. Would he kiss me if he didn’t? Why won’t he let me close?

His teeth nip at my lips, making me gasp, sending jolts of fire into my core, and he walks me backward until my back hits the wall with a thump. I love all of it, love the feel of his mouth on mine, the strength in his hands, the way I have to strain upward to meet his mouth because he’s so tall. I’m so caught in the sensations that I jerk when he moves closer.

He’s breathing raggedly against my mouth. He finally crushes his body to mine, pressing me to the wall, letting me feel how aroused he is. His hard-on is long and thick, digging into my belly.

Damn, this boy’s so hot I could come just from that.

But then his grip on my jaw turns so hard it hurts. I whimper, and he stops moving, every muscle turned to stone, his mouth just pressed to mine as he pants.

Why? No, I don’t want him to stop. I like how hard he’s gripping me, how he’s bearing on me until I can feel every ridge of every muscle through our thick clothes. That he’s holding me like he’ll drown if he lets go, like he’s losing control from wanting me so much.

I want to feel that wanted. That needed. No one has ever reacted that way with me—and there’s never been anyone I’ve wanted so much. Liked so much.

My arms are still wrapped around his neck, the silk of his hair tickling my fingers, and I try to pull him closer. I let my hands slip over his powerful shoulders, down his sides, to the front of his pants, stroke over the big bulge there.

There’s the proof that he likes what we’re doing. His dick can’t lie, right?

I kiss his lips, willing him to kiss me back, to touch me more.

But he’s already pulling away, releasing my cheeks, ripping himself from my hold, his eyes wide and wild.

“Fuck,” he breathes and stumbles back. “Fuck, I’m sorry.”

Excerpt:

EXCERPT FROM WOLF’S DESIRE BY AMBRIELLE KIRK

Copyright © 2014 Ambrielle Kirk, Amber Ella Monroe

A deep penetrating sensation hit Aiden, capturing his next breath and forcing him to stumble back. Intense hunger and wanting overtook him, and he almost dropped his bag. He shivered and waves of conflicting feelings ran throughout him. He parted his mouth in shock. His taste buds swelled, and his manhood stirred behind the zipper of his pants.

He’d never had this type of reaction to any client. Yet, Keira was not just any client. There was a reason he was good at his profession. His sense of smell and the ability to detect fear and danger within milliseconds were his greatest assets. This same sense of smell told him the woman inside was his mate.

Fuck.

There was no other explanation. Or perhaps he’d completely lost it. Had he made a mistake by taking this job? He should have turned this assignment down and remained retired. He was no use to a client if his nose was playing tricks on him. But had his nose ever deceived him?

This woman—Keira Ellis—was his mate.

His wolf rejoiced, but this feral need to take, ravish, and claim her confused his human side.

“Mr. Price?” Thomas opened the door a little wider.

Aiden swallowed as more of the woman’s scent slammed into him. He stepped over the threshold, ready to meet the woman who inflamed his heart with desire.

Thomas nodded once and then began to back away. “There are preparations to be made for dinner. Francine will be around this evening to assist you with anything else you may need during your stay.” With that, he left Aiden in the doorway.

Aiden scanned the room for Ms. Ellis, but she wasn’t anywhere to be seen and he didn’t hear a sound. But Ms. Ellis was in there, all right. He could smell the subtle fragrance of her perfume.

This was some sort of an office or maybe just a library. Rows of bookcases lined the walls. A massive red oak desk sat in the center of the room. The big black chair behind it was empty. There was a leather-bound book open in the center of the desk and a fountain pen lying beside it.

Aiden picked up his bags, not wanting to leave his weapons in the hallway. Just as he took a step past the door, a gust of fresh wind rolled in his direction and a strong, relaxing aura overtook him. Aiden turned toward the breeze. A woman sat with a book in her hand in front of an open bay window. A powerful energy rushed down his spine, and his mouth became dry.

Ms. Ellis didn’t pay him any attention. She was busy reading the book on her lap. She sat on a plump cushion with her legs crossed; the curtains billowed around her. Her hair was wound in a bun at her nape. When she bowed her head, Aiden admired the long gracefulness of her neck. She looked extremely young—which wasn’t something Aiden expected.

The dress she wore clung to her ripe breasts. Her arms, the color of warm melted caramel, were completely exposed. The sole of one foot was bared to him. It was small, delicate, and looked baby soft.

Another hot flash of feral need spread through Aiden’s core. His nostrils flared as he identified the mesmerizing scent. Besides another set of lavender in the vase poised on the desk was the smell of something sweeter. Like a fruit. Peaches.

At that moment she chose to look up.

Gods, she was beautiful. Young and beautiful. Delicate and exotic.

Her eyelashes fluttered as she focused on him. Deep hazel eyes examined him from head to toe with precision. Her plush lips parted as she observed him, and her eyebrows lifted momentarily, hinting at a bit of surprise.

Why had he expected an older woman? Maybe because Jamison Ellis was in his late fifties? Perhaps she was his daughter and not his wife, but nothing in the files indicated the Ellises had any children.

When she closed the book and placed it on the sill beside her, he noticed her fingernails were painted a deep red.

He attempted to regain his composure and met her at the bay window.

He dropped his duffle bags, and the heavy weight hit the floor with a thud. “Aiden Price reporting for duty, ma’am.”

A shy smile crossed her face. “Call me Keira.”

He wanted Keira. He wanted her to himself.

At his side. In his arms. On his bed.

Without a doubt, the wolf knew the connection between the pair. She was the one the animal craved to possess. She would make both of them happy. Satisfied, not just temporarily, but indefinitely. Now that the wolf inside him had identified his mate, he would hunger for her, never really fulfilled unless she accepted his bite and the bond that would make them whole.

“Hello, Keira.” Everything about her was beautiful. Even her name was mesmerizing. His soul warmed, and he couldn’t keep his eyes off her. Whatever he’d learned during his training over fifteen years ago about containing strong emotions toward a client was now only a distant memory. “I hope I wasn’t interrupting, but I was told to report at 1500 hours sharp.”

“I was only reading.” She picked up the paperback book she had set down and waved it in front of him before putting it back.

Aiden noted on the cover a knight in full armor embracing a scantily dressed woman. She was into romance novels and happily ever afters. Interesting. “Forgive me, but this assignment was impromptu. I’d like to perform a physical inspection of the property and surrounding areas.”

Keira squinted up at him in confusion. Her gaze traveled once again from his head to his toe, and then lingered on the bags near his feet before trailing back up. She pursed her lips before saying, “That leather bag looks heavy. What do you have in it?”

“Weapons.”

Her lips parted slightly in shock. “Do you think you’ll need them?”

“The report says you’re a moderately high-risk client. They’re for your protection.”

She frowned and wrinkled her brow.

Aiden moved closer. He longed to touch her; he wanted to console her. “Don’t worry. I’m highly skilled and effective at what I do. I’m the man who will keep you safe.”

The delicate veins shifted on her neck as she swallowed.

“Thank you,” she whispered.

She didn’t seem to show the same instant bond he did, but then again she was human. His mate was human? Was it a mistake? Maybe the smell of her perfume clouded his wolf’s judgment.

He was here to protect Keira Ellis, not take her to bed. He had rules. One of them was: never fuck a client.

This feeling would fade…perhaps. And if it didn’t, he’d worry about that later.

There was something else he registered in her scent.

Keira Ellis was afraid. Along with the aura of ripe peaches, the air was also tinged with an abundance of fear and apprehension. Aiden felt sorry for her. He’d lost many he loved over the years, but nothing could have been as terrible as losing a spouse to a killer.

“According to Thomas, there is a room where I’ll be staying. I’d like to drop off my bags and tour of the property, if you don’t mind.” Aiden looked over her shoulders at yet another pot of lavender sitting against the bay window. “After that, I won’t inconvenience you anymore.”

She nodded and dropped her gaze to the floor. “I’ll have Thomas show you. He knows this property very well.” She picked up her book again.

He’d been dismissed for a romance novel hero. Very interesting.

Aiden grimaced. “You misunderstand. You hired me as your bodyguard. Twenty-four seven. Except during times calling for privacy. The terms of the contract require me to be in your presence or not less than a room away, depending on the situation and the security at the present time. Were you not made aware of these arrangements or did you not request them?”

“It’s just I’ve never had a bodyguard.” Her voice sounded strained and troubled, and tears pooled in her eyes. “Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. If someone killed me tomorrow, no one would care.”

“I would care,” Aiden said without hesitation. “And I won’t let that happen.”

Description:

The second in the Domination series. Six sexy little tales of female submission.

I’ve known Owen for about five years now. I met him in a bar when I went to play some pool at the local university’s bar with a few of the students I worked with. Owen was in his twenties, from Wales, a student in the same university. I was in my early thirties. We flirted, we teased each other, we even had a bit of a very short period of dating, but in the end we became best friends. I never would have dreamed that it would turn out to be a lot more than that. My hot Welsh friend had a secret that I didn’t find out for a few years. He’s a dominant, a Dom, a Master, a Sir.

At first I thought nothing of it, I knew that I wasn’t ‘like that’, but the more Owen gave me glimpses into his world the more and more intrigued I became. He led me down the path to submission, like the white rabbit leading Alice into Wonderland. Now I am hooked, I am addicted to the pleasure that only he can generate in me. I am his. I am OWNED.

I have always had aspirations to write and become a published author, but as a teenager I was encouraged to look for a different profession, as being an author “wouldn’t pay the bills.”

It was that reading that lead a friend of mine to suggest that I had read so many of those books that I could probably write my own! It seemed like a good idea, and I thought that I would give it a try 🙂 a few months later Lex’s Melody was well underway, and the rest as they say is history!

Review:

I enjoyed this cute, story of friendship and bringing out the best in one another. I found the book very create, and entertaining, with the romance hot and sexy. There was a lot of witty banter, humor, and adventure. Having a heroine with a positive energy and attitude plus a hero with secret identity made it a great pager turner.

And shit out of coffee

When Amelia arrives in Maui, newly single and unemployed, she’s shocked to discover the resort she booked is actually a ramshackle little beachside hotel. At least the scenery is easy on the eyes—as is the toned, laid-back snorkel instructor, “Dude.” After two weeks of sun, serenity, and mind-blowing sex, she even accepts a job as the hotel’s concierge. But what Amelia really wants is to relaunch the place completely. And that means convincing the absentee Wall Street billionaire owner, Samuel Kincaide, to take a chance on her.

Samuel has a plan, too: selling off every last reminder of his former life and chilling all day, every day as his slacker alter ego . . . Dude. He loves his romps in the ocean, and under the sheets, with the feisty Amelia. If she discovers his true identity, her boundless enthusiasm and innovative business plan will seriously diminish his hammock time. But when Amelia runs into real trouble on the island, he’ll put everything on the line to keep her safe. He just hopes that the woman who’s falling for Dude will feel the same about Samuel.

Excerpt:

This couldn’t be happening to her. When she’d seen the ad for the all-inclusive resort in Hawaii last year, it had been like a dream come true. Fishing around under her desk, Amelia pulled out the brochure. It was creased and wrinkled from her having looked at it a million times. The hotel was shaped like a horseshoe around a gigantic pool and tiki bar. The beach in the distance showed cerulean blue waves with just a hint of whitecaps. She wanted to be on that beach so much, her teeth ached.

“Can you have this dry-cleaned?” A guest shoved a large plastic bag over the counter, knocking over her pirate’s chest of wrapped candy.

“Sure,” Amelia said, taking the bag. Once she got the guest’s room number and laundry preferences, she tagged the bag and called in a pickup at one of the local laundries. Then she booked a few more theater and dinner reservations and gave out some walking maps of the city. By the time she got back to her brochure, it was around three in the afternoon.

“Nine a.m. island time,” she said, dialing the resort’s number.

It rang and rang. No one picked up. No one picked up an hour later, either. Finally, around five o’clock her time, a groggy voice drawled into the phone.

“Whatchu want?”

“Um, is this the Palekaiko Beach Resort?”

“It is, sistah,” the voice said in a warm, smiling voice that made her toes tingle. “What can I do for you?”

She could almost picture him leaning against a desk like hers. Only his view wasn’t icy sleet and gray drabness, but lush greens and ocean blue. Shaking herself back into the present, she said, “I need to change my reservation.”

“I’m sorry, but I don’t know where Hani is right now.”

“Who’s Hani?” she asked.

He yawned. “He’s in charge of all that.”

“Who are you?”

“They call me Dude.”

“Seriously?”

“Ya, as in I’m the dude that teaches snorkeling. The phone was harshing my buzz, so I answered it.”

“Isn’t it before noon there?” Amelia was giddy at the thought of drinking before noon.

“It’s five o’clock somewhere, sunshine.”

That it is. She scowled at the mermaid clock on the wall. “Look, do you know when Hani will be back?”

He sighed. “No. In fact, I don’t see Kai or Makoa around either. Must’ve gone surfing.”

Amelia’s breath caught. “How are the waves, there?”

“Here, we’ve got some storm surge but down the coast there’s some beach break.”

“Are they . . . gnarly?” Amelia tried out some slang.

His husky laugh sent a shiver up her spine. “You should come see for yourself, sweet thing.”

There was one little problem with that. Her excitement deflated like a balloon, complete with the raspberry noise. “That’s actually the reason why I’m calling. I need to switch dates on my reservation. I know it’s last-minute, but my boss canceled my vacation.”

“Sounds like an asshole.”

Vindication surged through her and she looked quickly around, but the desk crew were the only ones around. “He is,” she whispered. “He wants me to move my two-week vacation to May.”

“Aw, honey, I’m afraid we can’t do that.”

“Why not? It’s all right if you have to charge me a fee.”

“Nah, you don’t understand. We ain’t gonna be here in May.”

“What?” She heard a screeching sound in her head.

“The big kahuna is selling and the new owners will tear it down to build condos.”

“Oh, no!,” she said. “Can I get my money back?”

“We can credit your card.”

“No,” Amelia said. “I paid by check. Monthly. For over a year. I sent in the last payment a month ago.”

“Hm,” he said. “Well, I’m sure something can be done. The kahuna is a big shot. If you write him a letter, he can fix you up.”

Amelia’s hand was shaking as she grabbed her pen. “What’s his name?”

“Samuel Kincaide.”

“I see.” She tried to keep the tears out of her voice.

“Don’t cry, wahine.”

She didn’t trust her voice. “I d-don’t want my money back. I want to go on my dream vacation.”

“Then come on.”

“I’ll get in trouble,” she said with a watery giggle.

“I get it,” Dude said. “But your kahuna sounds like a grade-A prick.”

“So does yours.”

He barked out a loud laugh. “I tell you what—you come on down and I’ll buy you a drink.”

She sniffled. “What’s the weather like down there?”

“It’s a little chilly today. It’s about seventy-five.”

Amelia bit back a moan. Seventy-five! She had a cute little sundress all picked out that would be perfect with a little lacy shawl.

“But that’s because of the wind. Once the wind dies down later this afternoon should be about ninety.”

This time she did let out a moan.

“Where are you calling from?” he asked, his voice sounding like honey over gravel.

“Manhattan.”

“Sistah, get on the plane.” He chuckled. “That’s a no-brainer.”

“What’s the worst he can do?” Amelia said, almost to herself.

“Are you a doctor?”

“Doctor?” She huffed in surprise. “No, I’m a concierge.”

“So no one’s life depends on you while you’re on vacation?”

“I don’t even have a cat.”

“If he fires you, can you survive?”

Amelia thought about it. Jay might be pissed. Although, truth be told, he really didn’t care about stuff like that. That’s what she liked about him. There were no problems, no troubles. In fact, he had asked her to move in when she didn’t have a job, so it probably wouldn’t be that big a deal. If worse came to worst, they’d eat ramen noodles for a few months until she got into another hotel. They could rekindle their relationship over a shared misery and look over the pictures of their once-in-a-lifetime vacation.

“Sistah, you still there?”

“Unfortunately.” She sighed.

“Look, you gotta do what you gotta do. I’ll make sure the kahuna gives you all your money back. He listens to me. You got no worries. You make sure you have no regrets.”

“Thanks,” she said. While the phone was cradled between her neck and shoulders, she rubbed her arms to stave off the chill as she stared dejectedly out the window. The sleet just kept coming down in gray icy waves. “I really appreciate that.”

“I got to tell you, though, that I’ve got a bucket of Coronas just waitin’ to be shared. I’ll even throw in a free snorkel lesson. Come find me.”

“Where are you going to be?” Her mouth curved into a smile.

“In my hammock. Just ask for Dude.”

“Dude?”

“Yes, sweet thing?”

“I’ll see you tomorrow.”

“That’s my girl.”

Amelia hung up and started shaking her head. Mr. Kensington would be disappointed, but he wouldn’t really fire her, right? She was the only experienced concierge he had, and she was a hard worker. She always picked up extra shifts and never complained. So he’d have to hire a temp, or get one of the desk staff to fill in for a few days. Most of them were native New Yorkers and could recommend restaurants. All of her contacts for shows and tours were on the computer. It was just customer service. She’d even stay extra late tonight to help train them. And she’d only be gone two weeks. It was only right that she took the vacation that had been booked and approved a year ago. She’d earned it. And she and Jay needed it. She couldn’t even remember the last time they’d had sex. Amelia needed to put her relationship first. Straightening her shoulders, she marched into Kensington’s office to tell him the bad news.

Amelia trudged to the bus stop with all of her personal belongings in a large plastic garbage bag. She no longer cared about avoiding icy puddles, because she was already soaked through.

By the time she got off at her stop, Zarafina was long gone, and the café where Quinn worked was closed. Too bad—she could have used another shot of caffeine. It felt like it was taking an eternity to get to her apartment. All she wanted was a nice hot shower and to put on soft wool socks. She’d tell Jay about losing her job after Maui. No sense ruining his fun. And if she started to stress, she’d just order more rum drinks. She deserved this vacation.

“I can’t believe that rat fink Kensington fired me,.” she told her reflection in the elevator.

Opening the door to her apartment, she dumped her belongings on the floor. Crap, she thought—she’d forgotten to pick up dinner. When she didn’t bring home dinner, Jay got cranky. Oh, well, they’d have to get delivery tonight. Thai sounded good. Or maybe a nice hot steaming bowl of pho? Squishing toward the bedroom, she heard loud moaning sounds.

“Yes, yes, yes!”

Great. Jay’s watching porn in surround sound again.

Shaking her head, she pushed open the bedroom door. Whatever witty remark she had prepared died when she realized it was live action instead of Internet porn.

Quinn in all her naked glory was bouncing on top of Jay, whose fingers were biting into Quinn’s butt so hard, he was going to leave marks.

Amelia’s feet were frozen in place. She opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes, but as she helplessly watched Quinn working toward orgasm, she wasn’t surprised.

Hurt. Betrayed. Pissed. But not surprised.

Is it wrong that I’m madder about losing my morning coffee?

Quinn’s head tilted back as she spewed a litany of swear words. Jay lay flat on his back with his eyes closed and let her do all the work.

Typical.

It was then she realized that her relationship had problems that even Maui couldn’t solve. She didn’t love Jay; otherwise she’d be more upset. He didn’t love her; otherwise he wouldn’t be banging the barista.

“You’re going to put somebody’s eye out with those,” Amelia said, finding her voice as Quinn’s big breasts heaved up and down.

Quinn shrieked and tried to cover up.

Jay pushed her over and sat up. “Babe, you’re home early.”

Review:

I have not read such an overall wonderful novel in a long time. A lot of books are just rather cookie cutter. This is not. It is interesting and intriguing. It is original and such an all-encompassing emotional rollercoaster I could barely catch my breath between emotions. I laughed and cried and cussed! I wanted Izzie to just give in to Dakota but the author had other ideas and eventually I understood that Izzie had some things to work through before she could be ready for what Dakota offered. I found myself wanting to comfort Izzie as well as Dakota at times. And the ending? Well it was just so satisfying. Again, I laughed and cried but felt oh so good in doing it!! Please get this book. It will be one of the best ones  you read, ever. Willard is going on my short list of authors. MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Description:

Can love cure all things despite its hardships?

Isabel Nichols’s life changed in more ways than one through the years. As a young child, she experienced a loss that devastated her. It wasn’t until she was an adult that the universe around her shattered. In a twenty-four-hour time frame, she lost what she’d thought was her world. What followed was a year of mourning, a year of grieving, a year of darkness. Now, there’s one man who can show her the light.

Dakota Jackson left his life behind on a whim, moving to a beach cottage away from the big city where he grew up. He sees through Izzie’s clouds as he gets to know her, with the drive to be everything that she’s ever needed. The only problem is, Dakota holds the key to a secret that could ruin both of their hopes and dreams.

Passion isn’t always enough to heal a broken heart; love isn’t always enough to guide you through the darkness.

This Contemporary Romance is about two souls that were meant to be together from the day they were born. Two people who have to figure out a way to look past the memories. It’s the now; it’s living your life as you’re meant to, loving the one your heart craves. It’s about letting go of the grieving, learning to be who you are, and accepting life for what it is.
