This anthology offers a wide variety of cowboy stories. From ranchers to shifters and back to rodeo cowboys and the women who love them this has just what cowboy lovers, well, love!! The books are well written, characters are vibrant and the stories are good,
1- Luke’s Fate by Kathleen Ball I enjoyed this ride through this love story with a twist. The characters are allowed to grow as they make their way back to each other. There are so many questions and obstacles it looks at times, hopeless. But where there is love there is hope- right? Being set on a working ranch, added authenticity. A western romance with some twists and mystery, this book is for the cowboy lover.
2- Grant Me the Moon by Caroline Clemmons From the first pages I was swept away by this sweet romance and murder mystery. The characters are multidimensional and straight forward. I love that the intrigue is from the mystery and murder and not the love story. When problems come up the characters actually talk through it. Great book.
3- Three for the Win by Keta Diablo I enjoyed this love triangle with a difference. I fell a little in love with Stede but I fell hard in love with Eli. The story had some twists and turns to keep you guessing and a heart breaking, bittersweet ending. There were a few loose ends that could have been tied up for a more complete ending but over-all, worth the read.
4- Border Affair by Hebby Roman This was a fun, quick read with some heat and intrigue. The characters were well done and likable. The heat factor was elevated. It was a satisfying read that kept my interest throughout.
5- Leaving Necessity by Margo Bond Collins I thought this was a wonderful story about second chances. The characters were believable and likable. The writing is good, too. I rooted for these characters all the way.
6- The Shape of Destiny by Julie A. D’Arcy What a fun story!! I enjoyed the change up to a shapeshifter romance. Full of good characters and I loved Cole, especially. The story-line was different and much enjoyed. I loved Shannon, too even though she had a hard time believing!
7- Bad Boy, Big Heart by Andrea Downing I loved this story. The backdrop of the Tetons made it extra special. Chay was to die for and K.C. was a great match. The writing is crisp and no nonsense. The story is really good. I was sorry when the story ended since I wanted to know more about these characters.
8- Desert Heat by Patti Sherry-Crews This story had me on the edge of my seat. First, I rooted for Angel to accept Boone, then I prayed she hadn’t waited too long. The characters were well done and I loved not just the main characters but the minor ones, too. I would love to see more of these characters. The writing is top-notch. This was the perfect book to complete the anthology.

Can they strike love again?
At nineteen, Clara Graves left Necessity, Texas, to try to heal her broken heart. She swore she would never come back, and she’s kept that promise for ten years. Until now. When she returns for her uncle’s funeral, she inherits a small oil company that may keep her tied to Necessity for a few days longer than she expected. But as soon as she can close or sell the business, she’s pointing her boots toward greener pastures.
To this day, Mitchell MacAllan regrets letting Clara go without a fight. But his whole life was in Necessity, and leaving town wasn’t in the cards. As the foreman of Aerio Oil and Gas, he works hard to keep the townspeople employed and maintain the business, despite a recent downturn in petroleum prices.
Now Mac has less than a week to convince Clara that she should give Aerio a chance, and maybe even forgive him in the meantime. Otherwise, she will once again be leaving Necessity–and taking his heart with her, this time for good.
Leaving Necessity is also available in the Come Love a Cowboy anthology, available spring 2016.
Mac had heard his name as he slipped out of the attorney’s office, but he hadn’t turned back.
Coward, that mocking voice in his head repeated. Shoving the thought out of his mind, he headed out to his truck.
He had also heard enough to know that John Pritchard would be contacting him to meet with Clara the next day. Until then, he had work to do. Wells to see to, reports to run, problems to solve.
Pulling his pickup out of the parking spot and onto the road, he headed out to the Rittman B site again. Mac almost hoped Duke was out on the ranch today. He was almost in the right mood to take the rancher down a few notches.
Getting into an argument with the landowner wouldn’t do anyone any good, though, and might cause more trouble than any satisfaction he might gain from it would be worth.
After all, it looked like he and his guys would have at least a few more days of work. From what he could decipher of the legal language as Pritchard read the will aloud—and Mac had gotten better at reading contracts in the last few years than he ever anticipated—Clara couldn’t sell the company until she had thoroughly reviewed all aspects of it. With his help, apparently.
That part made his stomach twist a little, even after ten years.
