I was not expecting such an in depth and thoughtful book. Within the first few pages I was hooked as a fast paced sexy story took shape. However, within a few chapters it was clear that this is more than a fun romp in the sack. The characters are multifaceted and endearing and infuriating at the same time. And there is a precocious 5 year old at the heart of it all. He is adorable and I pulled for him more than any other character in the book. There are issues of serious nature and gave me pause as they were handled with understanding and tact. There is also a wonderfully heated love story and two people who fall in love so slowly they don’t realize it is happening. There is also a second layer of characters that speak to the possibility of follow up books to flesh out their stories. I also liked the writing style. It is straightforward and pulls no punches. SO if you want something a bit different with just the right amount of heat and a heartwarming love story then this is for you! I can MOST HIGHLY RECOMMEND Love in the Fast Lane by Melissa Kate
